HUNTINGTON -- The Hurricane Redskins are one of eight unbeaten Class AAA teams in the state after three weeks of the high school football season.

Hurricane, off to a 3-0 start entering a Friday game at Cabell Midland, also checked in at No. 7 in Class AAA in the first weekly West Virginia Seconday School Activities Commission computer ratings. The ratings determine the 16 playoff teams in each class at the end of the regular season.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association computer ratings come out next week.

Cabell Midland (2-1) is No. 10. Huntington (2-1), idle this week, is No. 12 in the ratings. Spring Valley (1-2) is No. 24 with a game Friday at Nitro (2-1).

Capital (3-0) and East Fairmont (3-0) are tied for No. 1 followed by undefeated St. Albans, Robert C. Byrd, Parkersburg, Martinsburg, Hurricane and Bridgeport.
